A Henry-Hillesque Morning

Have you ever felt like Henry from the manic scene at the end of Goodfellas? (watch this whole clip. it is so good.)

This is me from time to time. There is a million things to do. There is only a few hours to get things done. There is a lot of driving from place to place. There are things going wrong, right and left. The police are always inches away. Helicopters are swirling. Family is interfering. I'm trying to squeeze in a good meal from time to time. And most importantly there is a kickass soundtrack helping to narrate my journey.

Just a few days ago I couldn't help but think of Ray Liotta's puffy red eyes and greasy black hair as I rushed around Berks County trying to get everything done before leaving to State College for Chad's rehearsal dinner. My soundtrack consisted of the following:
I won't go through all the details of my manic morning. In order to get a basic understanding of my situation you can use the above Goodfellas clip for reference making a few minor adjustments along the way. Replace me with Ray Liotta in the above clip. Substitute my soundtrack in from time to time. Eliminate the pasta sauce and add a bagel. Eliminate the massive amounts of cocaine and add some cups of coffee. The gun pick up would actually be me getting a new shirt and tie at Ross. Henry's wife would probably be my Dad. The babysitter character would be my sister. The cops were in my scene although they just blew by me on the highway. I was almost hoping they would pull me over for a more exciting blog entry, but they did not.

I'll just leave you with the image of me driving down the highway with no shirt on blasting Amy Winehouse, feeling pretty bad ass behind my sunglasses.
