Making Memories the New-Old Fashioned Way

I complain every year about Christmas in October, when the Halloween candy moves out to make way for fake wreaths, mass produced stockings and plastic Santas. Yet, I always forget that horrible consumerism when the actual holidays come: when I can hang out with my family, get drunk with old friends at the bars and eat really great food. I'm happy to have these memories and thankful to have you (my loyal readers) in them. This year I want to help you make your shopping easier and give you something fun that you can't buy in stores, a personalized gift. A gift not just from me to you, but one for you to give to someone else!

You probably have a really close friend, even a friend you haven't spoken with in a while who you want to make smile and laugh with the perfect gift. You may have a significant other, a spouse, a person that you love that means a lot to you who you want to find an original thoughtful gift for. You might be trying to give your parent or sibling something that shows how much you truly love and appreciate them. You might have a developing relationship, some person who who you want to show your uniqueness to with a personalized gift. Maybe you have a group of friends that you are trying to satisfy with a cheap but worthy group gift.

You share memories with these people. Some of them are old memories. Some of them new. Wouldn't it be the perfect gift to give that person who you share memories with a memory as a gift. I'm not talking about the way jewelery stores sell "memories" or the way Disney does either. I'm talking about the actual memories that already happened.

I want to recreate those memories for you! Sound absurd? It's not. Here's my pitch:

Remember that one time? It was a special time. You made a new friend, fell in love, laughed so hard that your drink came out of your nose, tried something new, or just did something old that made you feel good.

This was one of the best times of your life. You know you can never go back to that time, but you think about it often. We entertain notions of time travel at times like these, just to SEE that one time again.

Finally, there is a way you can get the next best thing! Make that memory visual again with a video recreation.

Flashback is a new service aimed at injecting life into those intangible feelings you get from your fondest memories. Just as a little scene inside a snow globe, you'll be able to save the beauty of a moment forever.

**And like a snow globe, your memory will make a great gift for the person you shared it with**

Your spouse will laugh again and again when you watch those crazy monkeys stealing your food during your honeymoon in South America.

Your friends will say "Aww!" when you watch the day you all officially became sorority sisters.

Your dad may even shed a tear when you recreate that day you and him sat next to the guy who caught the game winning homerun and he got in a fistfight with the guy trying to steal it for you.

Bring that moment to the present. Our Memory Construction crew is well equipped to deliver your past time in High Definition. They respect the privacy of your memory and will never deliver the product to anyone but you.

Seriously, head on over to this link and submit your memory. You can even submit a fantasy...or as we like to call them future memories ;)

And don't neglect to share this service with people who will find it awesome.

The two-way street that leads to
the polls narrows where
two cars meet.

Both drivers slow their vehicles
and through some odd miracle
one will yield.

Neither person ever knowing
